Portfolio of Works
The paintings in this collection were all painted as Commissions.
If you are interested in commissioning a custom painting please contact me directly to discuss specifics.
To prepare and define your ideas, please consider subject matter and gather photographic references to be submitted via text.
Also think about your preferences, if any, concerning size, orientation, shape, and space the painting will inhabit.
I will be excited to work with you and create a special, beautiful, and personally meaningful painting for you to enjoy and cherish.
Watercolor is my first medium and I have been painting with it en plein air and in studio for 41 years. Over time I have developed my own approach and distinctive style and still find it to be the most fluid and immediate of the painting mediums. I paint with no sketching or preliminary or under drawing. I love this direct approach and finding my way with the painting is what makes it lively and fascinating for me as an artist.
Please note that each painting has dimension details for Image Size, Matted Size, and Framed Size. If matted or framed, white cotton rag mat (the best) is used and the image is floated just inside the matting. This way the entire image is shown and nothing is hidden under the mat. It is a beautiful presentation which features the distinctive quality of the watercolor paper. I am proud that my pieces do not need to be cropped to correct any compositional flaws!
All available oil paintings are painted en plein air and in studio with the highest quality materials.
These Archival Giclee Reproductions of my original watercolor paintings are printed with the highest quality inks on 100% cotton paper. Please note that reproductions available to purchase directly from my website are matted to a standard size 24" x 20 for vertical or horizontal images, or 20" x 20" matted size for square images, and the image and matted size is indicated.
